MISSION


The Friends Foundation advocates and funds arts learning experiences for people of all ages in the Walnut Creek Center for Community Arts. 

For eleven years, the Friends Foundation has been passionate about funding and supporting Community Arts classes and programs for all our residents. We focus on:


  • Community Arts Scholarships in art, music, dance, drama, photography, ceramics, and other art forms for students of all ages who need financial assistance.
  • ​Community Arts equipment and facility improvement.
  • Arts advocacy with Walnut Creek city administrators, grantors, and decision-makers.

Arts learning has been tied to academic success and shown to be fundamental to healthy biological, emotional and educational development.
